Richard, tools are like old friends in that you can rely on them,no matter how worn and battered they are, that patina is the sure sign of many hours of reliable use.
Many good old tools are easily purchased at car boot sales for a fraction of what they cost originally, whenever I see abrasive files I simply cannot resist buying them, non of the modern ones stand up like the older ones which seem to go on and on,a quick rub with a wire brush to get rid of the debris and they are ready for more work.
The Swiss needle files come in so many shapes and grades and ideal for modelling.
You just seem to know which tool is exactly right for the job, treasure them as they are priceless.
