One of my most poignant ones is Mike and the Mechanics and "In the Living Years". So appropriate for me and my Dad who passed away seven years ago and that song said it all. So many things we never said.

When they put me in the box and throw me to the fish I specifically want Queen and "Who wants to live forever" because the Brian May guitar solo in that is one of my favorites.

If you want something to get me singing though (not something that many sane people would want to do mind) it would have to be something more in the line of the Kinks and "Lola" as the thought of a bloke dressed as a woman was all quite scandalous when I was a teenager or The Animals and "The House of the Rising Sun". I can't imagine anyone not singing to that. Beer helps!

When I was young my father came ashore and worked for a juke box company so we used to get hold of all sorts of Pre-Promotion copies of singles. We still have them in the attic somewhere and I keep meaning to get them onto a CD one day. Cracking songs all of them.
