I've been given a set of Techmod decals for Spit IIb's, but I can't find any available kits in 1/72 - they all seem to be I/IIa's.

Is there a "simple" conversion method I can use to add the 2 x cannons + wing blisters to an Airfix Mk.I ? My scratchbuilding skills are fairly limited, as is my time - I thought about the Typhoon cannons, but this is obviously an expensive (and possibly inaccurate ??) option.

Any guidance and help would be greatly appreciated .

p.s. If you're reading this I've hit the right keys for once....
