John, you have been the victim of silicone release agent used during manufacture of the injected parts, unlike ordinary greases this is difficult to remove, here is a solution that will chemically remove the grease agent prior to painting-
Mix up a solution of ordinary washing up liquid with warm water, add a few drops of tree ahcohol ( US ) or methylated spirits ( UK ) with a touch of domestic bleach, give the solution a good shake in a bottle and allow to settle.
Get a plastic lunchbox and place the model parts into the box, pour the solution over the plastic bits and leave for half an hour, use a stiff artists brush and swish the liquid all over the parts, you will see the grease rise to the surface, drain off the liquid and wash down the parts placing under a running tap, make sure that you put the sink plug into place first ! I do this on most kits especially the ones that have tricky undershaped mouldings where the manufacturers use the release liquid or powder.
Sounds a lot of trouble but your parts will be chemically clean ready for painting, use a pair of rubber gloves whilst handling any bleach and dont splash any around, wear goggles if necessary, but remember only a smidgin of bleach is needed.
