| DeAgostini projects (BMW M3)
I would like to get into building RC cars & saw the ad's on TV for the new DeAgostini BMW M3 project. I thought that it seemed like a good way to get into it but according to the small print on the ad it takes 95 issues at 6.99 (???) each. That would be ~665 & would take almost 2 years to build (assuming its out every week & I have my figures correct).
I found this site when trying to find out what the car is worth & it seems like some of you have a bad impression of the DeAgostini model collections. Is that right? What is the general opinion of them, their magazines, the quality of parts they supply etc....?
Also, what alternatives are there for someone who, like me, wants to get into model RC car building but can't spend hundreds on a kit & doesn't know where to start? |
