Scale Models - View Single Post - King Tiger vs 6 channel HiTec Help Please

Hi, all as this is my first post on your forum I will try and keep this as short as I can !
I purchased a Tam King Tiger (Full Op) for Christmas together with a Hi Tec 6 channel tx/rx (I will be adding mods as the time goes by).
For the life of me I cannot get the main gun or the machine gun to fire.
I push the right side FWD/RVS control trim forward (the tank starts creeping forward) and push the left hand control forward (the gun elevates) and push the right hand control stick forward and all it does is shoot forward very quickly with the gun rising....this frightens the hell out of the cat....Please could someone explain the correct procedure for firing the main gun and machine gun! ( I am currently banging my head againsnt the wall).
