| Also you can find "Computer Mangement" in administrivte tools in the control pannel. This program gives you more flexablitiy. Really all drives should be de-fragged every week or so. You should always leave at least one third of the drive empty for it to run smoothy.
When de-fragging check the anaylis bar, the more red stripes the more fragmented your hard-drive is. If its more than 20% red your computer is suffering badly and could do with a windows reinstall.
Barry, if you havent de-fragged in awhile then expect this process to TAKE A LONG TIME!!! Also if your doing it because you feel your system is slow i would bet money on the fact theres more than one factor causing the slow down. Nine times out of tens its some silly spyware program!
