*** Go here http://www.iroquois.free-online.co.uk/ccpm.htm Cyclic/Collective/Pitch Mixing ( CCPM )is an envolved system of linking these three basic helicopter functions, first of all ask yourself,do I really need this function ? then study the pages on the link above, for normal and even advanced flying it is not required, the best curve can be derived from your model helicopter settings as shown in the manual,be warned sometimes setting up CCPM can lead to swashplate set up problems,it is the old story combine too many things and you can arrive at a can of worms, the system can be arrived at both mechanically, electronically or a combination of both.
Quite honestly it is impossible to explain the set up simply but the above link is the best available.
Any model helicopter will be improved with collective pitch, the early fixed pitch models were a real handful to fly properly, helicopter flight is so reliant on the throttle/pitch common bond, whatever your aims best of luck in your flying.

Many thanks.
