Ground Effects

Just a quick servey to see what people use for different ground effects.

for grass iv found the games workshop static grass looks the best, as does their gravel.

I cant seem to find a good snow, a friend sugested using baking powder, its come out great, has the granula effect (be careful to make sure your papier mache (if using) is completely dry otherwise the baking powder will suck all the moisture out and crack the paper) also for a reasltic effect quite a thick layer must be put down and this cant be glued, so be carefull when you move it!.

Im trying to find a nice sand, problem is sand in the desert isnt yellow like the rubish we get in england....but then again can you imagain south end having perfect white sand? HA!

iv also found for winter trees, go into your garden (or the neighbours) and break of the ends of bushes, they look great if the right scale!
