| As promised,
Camera is now charged up so I have been able to upload the pics,
Pics 4, 5 and 6 show freshly cut plate still with the masking tape on until fine sanding was done on the edges just to smooth everything up. The original cutting disc used in the Dremel gave nice clean straight edges so there wasn't a lot to do here. Pic 6 also shows off the shine on this stuff nicely as you can see the pic from my PC reflecting in it.
You can also see the square plate which is going to used to make the topdeck on this chassis as the plate to house the receiver and battery pack and switch harness. It is a straightforward shape so won't take long to make.
Pic 7 is after smoothing off and masking tape removed. I have rounded off the edges on the wing part of the chassis as can be seen, I will do the corners on the ends once I finish drilling all the relevant bolt holes and engine recess holes. The original chassis will be used as the template for this to ensure accuracy.
The 4 small lugs that you can see are suspension limiters but will not be needed on this car. I will be cutting them off after drilling etc. I have devised a way to fix them back on at anytime if they are ever needed, so cutting them off will not cause a problem.
So tonight Matthew.....I will be drilling holes ...!!!
Regards......Mark.
