I purchased one of those Lexar media 256 MB USB Memory sticks today from Asda stores (
www.exarmedia.com/drivers/index.html ) ,it said on the packet suitable for Windows XP,Me,2000 with a driver required for Windows 98,well I downloaded the driver for Windows 98 but despite trying all afternoon it just will not load up,I keep getting this message-
'The NDIS.VXD Device loader for this device could not load the device driver ( code 2),then it goes on to say-'To fix this, check update driver to update the device driver'
'Set up could not find a file on the specified patch'
I checked drive C,but despite it saying that it had downloaded the driver there,no signs of it ? I tried removing and refreshing the '?' in control panel thing to get it to activate but nothing happened ?
Checking their support pages there is nothing mentioned about my problem, once more there is only the one driver download for Windows 98SE.
It works fine on XP and my laptop ME,but I really want it on Windows 98 because that working data computer is in my den where I write up my stuff for here, previously I had the tedious job of lap linking it to my other computer.
If anyone an come up with a suggestion I would be most grateful, thank you.
These data sticks are certainly the answer if only you can get them synchronised and a decent driver for windows 98 ?
