Barry,

Try & follow these steps:

Right click the link TC posted above (make sure the pen is NOT connected untill the last step):

1)Goto "save target as" then save it to your desktop. Once it has downloaded double click the file and a grey box will appear.
2)left-click unzip
3)now press the windows key and E
4)navigate to your C: drive
5)In there is a folder called "JDUSB2"
6)Double Click "instructions" which will open an Internet Explorer page with the rest of the instructions in it.
7)Plug in pen and follow the instruction on the IE window.

If, after that you still have problems theres a few things to look at here, firstly have you updated your WIN98 to make sure its up to date with all the hotfixs etc? Have u got recent USB drivers? (they are different for 98) for your motherboard? Also are you using Win98 or Win98SE as the SE version is much better!

You can use generic drivers, but they will only work with pendrives using the same chipset. Generic drivers wont work for all pens. I have some generic windoze drivers on my other pc, i will search through them tonight and upload any of relavence.

It sounds to me like you want to use the pen as a transfer device between a computer located, say outside, to one say, inside the house. Have you considered networking them? It can be done via a cable or via wireless. I can easily make you a cable to the required length or help you setup wireless. The only drawback to wireless is costing!

Or have a look at this link, thats where TC got the file i assume.
