I'm afraid the 916 isn't there!

The Dukes are an old Hailwood replica road bike, an SCR Racing one and a standard road machine.

Have you ever tried riding a 916? Great on the track but unbelievably impractical and uncomfprtable for road use.

By the way justifying two bikes when I work away from home for seven months of the year was quite a job.

In the end I didn't bother, I enjoy them so I got them!

My VFR is seven years old, looks as good as they day I bought it and it has about 6000 miles on the clock. 3000 of them was Italy and back six years ago! I wouldn't part with it for the world though.

Up on top of the Pennines, drop into one of my favourite corners and apply the power steadily until the engine really growls and the bike catapults out into the straight.

I couldn't image not being able to do that when I feel like it!
