| Via the ISPs access to the Usenet server gave the ability to get to lots & lots of various newsgroups imbedded in the cost of your ISP subscription.
Now the ISPs seem to have reached a "cartel" type agreement to pull the plug on getting to Usenet, the only way is via an added subsciption.
The cost & fiddling around in doing this is going to cause a lot of newsgroup participants not to bother anymore. So even if you do pay your money and subscribe to USenet access, the content from the UK will be very diluted.
