| USB Hubs.
Yesterday I went to download some pictures from my digital camera and I could not get any results,after re-loading the driver again it still would not work,traced the problem to a faulty USB Hub which although the power light was on it was failing to function,this is the third hub that I have had in the past 18 months,has anyone else had any problems with these ? they do seem to fail at an alarming rate.
Having checked my camera on another computer I am happy thankfully that was not the problem so have just purchased a new hub on E-bay.
Another strange thing happened just before this failure,my computer went sluggish,I instantly did a check for anything nasty present,it was fine,so took the lid off and did a dusting session,could not get at the fans which seem to be sealed ? but sucked out what I could put it back together and it works fine and back to speed .
Dont know whether the hub failure was linked to the above incident,but I dont suppose you can rule it out ? anyone else had problems like this ?
