| Thanks Bluewave,well if it is the 'original' upright boiler version you are talking mega-bucks,the horizontal one was introduced back in the sixties but had the bad fault of spraying hot steam over your valuable Meccano ! I have one in my collection just as an example but dont run it any more,most people fitted tin foil trays if they fitted the engine into a model.
The original steam engine was very powerful and a fine piece of engineering precision built,Mamod did the one for Meccano under contract hence the standard parts etc.
