Barry,

I couldn't agree more and I have said the exact same to more sellers than I care to remember.

But of course the problem is that Ebay actively encourage this tactic and even suggest to Power Sellers that they should leave feedback "In Bulk" only for buyers who have left it as it is easier for them to manage!!

Not surprising as it is the sellers who provide Ebay with thier income so it is the sellers that get the support.

I now refuse point blank to leave feedback on a seller until I receive it but it makes a mockery of the whole system. The last bozo I dealt with sold me a set of transfers for three pounds plus one pound recorded delivery. I always pay by check the day the auction ends. It arrived five weeks later after three ignored e-mails by second class post so I gave him negative feedback. I got the same. Why? for nothing else than pure retaliation.

Ebay is going to continue to suffer intil it starts to offer protection for buyers and to me the only way I see this improving is if they force sellers to leave feedback first. That one action will completely change the way some of the aggressive and arrogant sellers behave and reinstate some credibility to the feedback system.
