| 5th the aftermarket decal manufacturers sell more swastikas than any other marking.
As Airfix was originally a Jewish company, they imposed a ban very early on,most companies followed suit, there is nothing new here, once I purchased some decals of various types in a shop in Germany, when I got them home the swastikas were ruined with a ballpoint pen literally scribed through them.
Some manufacturers provide the two seperate legs of the decal for joining together.
The ironic thing about all of this is that it was originally a American peace symbol and also used by the Finnish air force long before the Luftwaffe used it,it was corrupted by slanting it 45 degrees by Hitler.
The solution is simple for modellers, just buy a sheet of various sized swastikas and maintain the historical accuracy of your model.
