| i aggree, the gun metal would look better but the black looks much better than silver would have. my dad used to make these as a kid back when the tracks where flimbsy black rubber, he used to leave them black and it looks just as good as your does.
i see there is a hammer on the top, get tamiya xf-64 (red-brown) it dries for a perfect wood effect and then paint the top gun-metal or metalic grey. i know obvioulsy you cant do that now but just a tip for the future.
