| Richard, i 110% agree with you! Oftern just "taxing" about the river is much more fun that flat out power. Because the nearest boating pond to me is MILES away i sail on the local river. Not the best place as you can imagine due to the fact theres tides and muddy reed backs to crash in. That said its also the most fun, using the currant to turn the boat, and seeing who can do the best approach up to the jetty!
Reversing against the currants always fun, steering becomes a work of art! As you said its easier to turn one direction but that changes depending on what the waters doing! I would dread to think of the calculations you have to do on the full sized thing!

As for the kids, i have an old Tamiya Blackfoot that i take to shows purely for that reason. Like you say, the expression on their face is soo funny as the thing flies across the green. (yes its been crashed...many many times) |
