Howdy Guys,

Yes there are some very "different" subject matter in the world of cardmodeling. Be it insects, planes, cars, trains, boats, rockets, animals, people (yes you can model figures of people too), buildings whatever. Like I said, "If you can name it, theres probably a card model of it or something like it."
Which is a good segway of into RJ's question about an aircraft hangar. Well RJ.........I am sorry, now 1:48 scale hangars that I know of. HOWEVER, I do know where a 1:144 scale luftwaffe hangar is. I found it at this link, http://www.tomtom-net.de/resources/cardmodel/hangar/hangar_f.htm It has already been to one IPSM meeting apparently. (SEE PHOTO):

Now I believe with a little work, it could be scaled up to 1:48. You do realize that this model at 1:48 is going to be rather large dont you? lol.
But, that doesnt mean it cant be done. My suggestion would be to go to your local picture frame dealer and ask for his/her scrap pieces of "matting board" used in framing photos. Then take the upscaled parts for the hangar and glue them to the face of it and cut out and glue together as needed.
Now.....would you like me to try to rescale this model for you and if so, are you wanting the whole layout? (all buildings). Just let me know and I will see what I can do. In the meantime, I will look for something abit more like you wanted (round cylindrical type hangar).
Be sure to look at the link above, its an amazing little set up with the 1:144 scale paper model planes.
Oh, and I want to say one thing, I told ya so! {If you can think of it, theres probably a model or something like it out there).
