| Cable length depends on a few things, but i have a friend who is using a USB camera for the same thing, its about 10m from his computer, any further than this and things get a bit sketchy!
You can however get wireless cameras very cheaply these days, this might be worth a look?
Or for the hardcore approach you could network a small pc where the camera is running but obviously this is ALOT more work (although nowhere near as complicated as it sounds!) |
