Howdy John,
Well, I havent quite as of yet figured out how this thing determines thank yous, but I wanted to Thank you John for creating the new cardmodel section in the forums.
I still visit
www.cardmodels.net and will be trying abit harder to get some of the people there to visit over here. A model is a model after all, its not like we are dealing with "clowns" and "mimes" (they hate each other you know lol), at one time plastic modelers wanted nothing to do with cardmodels here in the USA at organized events like scale model shows and conventions. And the reverse was true, die hard cardmodelers, purist as they are known, wanted nothing to do with plastic modelers, thinking that there was no skill involved in assembling a plastic kit. However, anyone who takes time to look at the models in "our" ( I love to say that now) Gallery can plainly see that there is alot of skill and effort put into the models here. By the same token, I think that plastic modelers and even RC modelers can see the skill and effort put into the cardmodels. The RC crowd maybe even more so because several of them have seen RC models based on card model plans. Also I think that judging by the reception the handful of models I have posted here have gotten, the members here can see the that these arent "cereal box" paper models.
So, again, let me thank you for the new addition to the forum and also say that I have high hopes for this forum to grow by leaps and bounds in the near future.
Have a good day and thank you again,
Greg aka GW
