Howdy Nigel,
Thats a cool Idea. I almost bought some styrene sheeting today at the hobby shop but decided not to at the last minute. That wont happen again, I know that some of the other freebies I have can be printed off on sheeting and constructed. One that comes to mind is the Piper J3 cub that can be found at
www.fiddlersgreen.net as a freebie. (look at upper right hand corner of page for download).
I also have another cardmodel (see photo below) that I know could be made in plastic sheeting with little or no trouble. Its a Cessna 172 Skyhawk which can be found here:
http://www.tzs.si/revija_tim/1999_20...2/izdelava.htm . Now I know you probably speak very few "Baltic" languages, and since I dont either, you will be happy to know that there is a photo essay on the construction on the above mentioned site. Again, since you are like me and are a "Bi Lingual Illiterate" (cant speak in two languages), in order to download this model, click on
Predloga (format PDF - 370 kb) on the above site to start the download. (You can probably start the download by clicking on that here in this thread too).
Anyway, I have built this model and its a really nice plane, it comes in color, red and white and I also have another copy of the same model in all white, no markings at all, with optional floats if you would like it. If so you can email me and I will be happy to send it to you.
Anyway, below is the completed model I am talking about, I really think it could be made in plastic. The piper j3 cub photo is there too.
Have a good day,
Greg aka GW
