| Mark,now there was a motor in its day,the Veco 19,they run really well but the castings were made from a really rubbish metal,the slightest bump and the crankshaft would break through the caseing !
The tubing on those early Mardaves was a square tube,there used to be some old boy at Mardaves who did all of the welding,when he left the quality went right downhill,he could probably have done it in his sleep !
Mardave went for the belt and braces approach to these cars,built tough.
