Actually that is from the depths of the net, specifically at
www.theonion.com . I had seen this article a few yrs ago and did a search on their site for "ancient skeleton people" and it brought it back up for me. "The Onion" is a sort of "comic news" agency that gets broadcast on several radio stations in the US. Its the radio equivilant to the tabloids like the Enquirer and the Mirror.
Sometimes it has some fairly funny stuff on it.
