The battery should be ok for 10 to 12 hours on the charger you have, it is slightly overcharging at 250ma, but not such a difference to cause concern. But I personally wouldn't go over 12 hours.

For a replacement battery you could try :

but without knowing the phyical size and shape it is difficult to give specific info. You might find a higher capacity battery in the same package size and that would give you a longer running time. If you do find one with larger capacity, just divide the amphour (converted to ma, ie 3.5ah is 3500ma) of the new battery by 250ma and that will let you know how long to charge it with the charger you have, ie 3500/250=14 hours
