Close, not BCAL, British United Air Ferries which became British air Ferries. Last Uk based one was scrapped Southend, Ithink in 83. Aer Lingus had a couple and so did Ansett. As far as I know, 3 survive. Two in America and one in South Africa thats alive and well earning a living with Phoebus Apollo. Coming from Southend, I have a big facination with anything to do with BAF, Carvairs, Viscounts, Heralds and Shorts Belfast (they used to fly over our house because Heavylift had/has mantenance base there.
