Howdy Shadow,

Well, I am by no means an expert on RC, but I did stay In a holiday inn express once.....actually, having been a small engine mechanic yrs ago, it sounds to me like maybe you are getting too much fuel. The excess smoke would come from the unburnt fuel (fuel that does not burn fully) and the stalling would come from the near 'FLOODING" of the engine.
If I am not mistaken, your "fuel line" would be a small piece of plastic tubing, is it possible to "pinch off" the flow of fuel to just a trickle? Is there anyway to slow the flow of fuel by adding a fuel filter maybe? if there is any sort of true carbuerator with an air filter, try removing the air filter to allow more air in for the fuel to burn.
OR...............even simpler, if there is an "air" or "fuel" mix needle valve, restrict the fuel and increase the air. It may even be possible that you have bad fuel....with some sort of contaminant in it...ie....condensation, oil etc...
Anyway, maybe one of the other guys mentioned above will reply.

I hope this helps, have a good day,

Greg
