| Greg,dont be too hard on yourself,what about trying to blend in the paintwork with a fine very airbrush nozzle ? it is only the edges that disjoint the finished effect,but what a great subject for a model,and whoever designed it got the shapes just right.
You could use acrylics as well applied thinly with a fine artists brush,just a thought.
