Char, I would be very cautious about weathering a car model as it could so easily look overdone and become a bit of a mess.

Apart from adding a bit of realism in the engine compartment with some washes and dry brushing I would tend to make the rest of the model as a showroom example. Trying to make the screen look used could well end up with it looking very dirty and unrealistic.

As it was your Dads pride and joy maybe you should make it as pristine as he always wanted it to be?
