For your first foray into spraying you could look at the mini spray tins on the market. Humbrol used to do some good ones but they have since ceased business so you will have to look a bit further.

I recently painted my Revel U-boat with Tamiya mini spray tins of acrylic paint and they came out very nicely.

To get the feel for spraying without any of the hassle you will find mini tins very convenient but if you want to develop your skills beyond the basics you will soon be hankering for a simple cheap small spray gun or an airbrush.
