| Howdy again Drummer, Glad the antenna Idea could be of some help to you. I got to thinking lastnight after my posting, that on more than one occassion back when i was building tanks, I looked around the house and found some old plastic potted plants...the kind ya dont have to water and just collect dust lol. I used to cut small pieces of the stems (with leaves....the smaller ones) and glue them to the tank bodies to aid in the camo effect. I wish I still had all of those models, but they have long since left me. I was married at the time and working on a divorce and ended up selling most all of my completed models to a few local hobby shops and one walmart for them to use as displays. Well, the hobby shops in my area have all vanished and you can imagine that wal mart wouldnt keep things like that very long. If you dont have any small plastic plants, lichen works well and can be purchased at most any hobby or crafts store....heck you can even go out to the old tree in the front yard and pluck it from the trunk and hard ground in clumps. It can be glued to the body and used to add to the camo effect. Bedrolls can be made from toilet tissued and airbrushed, netting can be made from a piece of your wifes "nylons". Camo netting can be achieved by taking the nylon material and inserting even smaller strips of the same material through the weave of the larger piece. Anyway, I hope that I have given you some useful tips, if you need more ideas or have some of your own you would like to share, be sure and let us know. Have a good day, greg |
