Suddenly the sailing boats all started charging in my direction so I got underway and led them into port as planned. The skipper of the fleet got me on the harbour wall and told me that he had almost turned the fleet back because he knew that a 20,000 ton carrier couldnt be there and the GPS must be wrong. Only when "this bloody great giant of a man stood up" did he realise what he was looking at only half a mile away and not the real one at distance. Mind you they had had a party the night before. |
