| I have thought about it many times. The sensors on the battle system pick up in four directions (i think) front/aft/sides. I have seen other Tams with the sensors spread around the superstructure for a more realistic hit count, as a shot up the jacksy would 9/10 times be the end of the battle. I must admit the one thing i have not investigated too much is the battle systems. My trials and errors with modding have not all gone smoothly (metal tracks without geardowned gearboxes do not last 5 minutes, kiss goodbye to the stock bearings!). I will have to make sure i know what i am doing when stripping the IR gear.
Believe it or not the Sherman kicks ass in the right hands. Faster turret rotation and a damn sight more agile than both the King Tiger and the Tiger 1. Ok, so it has to hit the tigers something nuts like 10 times to knock one out, but believ it or not it is doable...turn-shoot-run, before the Tigers can get their bearings.
(1 hit from either tiger spells doom for the Sherm)
The picture of the Panther you posted just reminds me how much i want the recently released tamiya 1/16. It's a real beauty. sadly its still around the £500 mark for the base model. I will have to wait ubtil the price comes down a bit next year.
