The Tamiya Lancaster in 1/48th scale is a superb kit and probably the best model of a large scale Lanc that you are going to find.

You can even get photo etch detail sets for them but it makes into a beautifull model out of the box.

There are usually a couple on Ebay at any one time for around about the fifty pound mark so you can get hold of one easily enough.
