David,without generalising on any particular type of Cessna kit in the parkflier category, all I can say is go for one,these small models offer not only value for money in terms of what you get,but are great fun to fly as well,if you cost out the various bits and pieces including charger then you will see what I mean.
Try and get one that has at least rudder/elevator and speed controller that operates the throttle side for full control.
Having purchased a few of these small models when I tire of them,I often take them apart later to incorporate parts into my own designs made from balsa,and why not ?
This may not fully answer all of your questions but at least give you a few ideas to try yourself.
