Hi Paul,

I tent to agree with you regarding the Maplins Model, I have seen a few videos of it in action on youtube and it doesn't look too much fun, there are only a couple of semi decent flights of it on video. The rest of it is spinning the tail round and I can do that nicely when I want to with my I/C powered Heli's. Do a search for Syma on Youtube and you will come up will plenty of videos for this one.
If I do go for an electric Heli, it would definitely have to have all the full functions and collective pitch for what I want......I can vouch for the sharpening the reflexes bit and dodging the furniture flying indoors too, A work colleague bought one of these and is still learning how to avoid the furniture !!
