| If possible I would think about buying a new radio set which gives you the piece of mind in knowing that the reciever and transmitter and crystals are all compatible and these are also pretty cheap for a 2 channel 27 meg set on Ebay.
If money is a real issue for you I would definately buy new and if possible buy the same manufacturer as your hand set.
