| Zimmerit?
How do I know when/if to use zimmerit on my tank? I'm new to tank building and mainly build 1/24 cars and 1/12th bikes, but I'd like the chance to really use my weathering and dry brushing techniques so I picked up a Tamiya Tiger1 tank kit the other day, looks quite a nice kit to start with. I did build a Sherman when I was a kid but that doesn't really count.
The artwork on the box and the instructions make no reference to zimmerit, but having done a tiny bit of research, it seems most German armoured vehicles had this during WW2, is it worth trying to create this effect or leave it off?
PS I don't mind hard tedious graft, it's a good stress reliever I find! |
