The rust is made from a variety of things, as rust comes in different forms, staining I use wood stain (acrylic) washed and gradually built up, the heavy duty stuf is a mixture of ground pastel chalks of varying shades, applied with a brush, then diluted with thin superglue, then build up the efect with more pastel dust, for patches of wet / oil thin superglue dripped on the deck and moved with a cocktail stick gives a good effect, for oil, use ground pastel black around the axles and again dilute with thin superglue. The bulldozer came from a photo I found on the web, every model LCM model I every saw has had a tank in it, when in fact the LCM3 stuggled to carry a full size battle tank, that was what the LCM6 was developed for. Sorry i sound like an anorak....
