In Answer to Alan's post above, there are a couple of good videos on youtube from people who have built full size Daleks. I too would love to do one of these. There used to be one in the Hanger where my Dad used to work, The Army Air Corps Guys built it from scratch, Full sized and very accurate too.
And for Antler,
you have come to the right place for cars, both electric and Nitro...as you can see from my sig pics I do Nitro Cars...I have built electric too before now. These can be bought ready built or as kits to build yourself. They are not difficult to do as they usually come with full instructions.
Normally ready built ones are more expensive than the kits but not always. There are some bargains to be found out there. I have seen a particularly nice full outfit on ebay for a bargain price.

Normally you would pay £200 - £300 for a set up like this....so with the price of this one and the postage costs, you are still getting a bargain. They do other cars too so check out their shop.
As for K9 etc, have a look at r2studios gallery on here, he has acquired one of the original BBC Models and has converted it to R/C....He has also done R2D2 from Star Wars.
