deffinatly go with the trump for the P-47, although iv you want to do a P-51 go with hasegawa or tamiya hands down!

if you want to do a spit, use the hasegawa, if you get the VB kit you can make about 3 different birds.

also, you might want to try joining the LSP forum (large scale planes) they will be very helpfull for you!
