Howdy Jeff,

Being a southern boy, I some times worry bout you "perpitraitors of unprovoked northern aggression" (yankees) lol just jokin'.
Have you ever tried the thicker super-glue Gel? Its abit easier to apply exactly where you want it, doesnt "run" and still dries about the same speed as the thinner stuff. And like the thinner stuff, dries really fast on contact with skin lol.
I also use "loc-tite" brand adhesives in lieu of super-glue brand or even "zap a gap".
I too have had trouble with the "zap a gap" being too thin for me to work with....its almost thinner than water in my opinion. But, when I run out of loc-tite, I have occassionally used the ZAP a Gap, only now I use a toothpick to apply it when i am forced to use it. I simply dont trust the "bottle" anymore with the stuff.
If you decide to continue to use the stuff, I would also suggest some "cyno-acrylate accelerator", it will dry the stuff almost instantly, so if you do have a "small" mishap, you can stop it where it stands by applying the accelerator, preventing the stuff from flowing all over the model and more importantly, you.
I dont know if you ever use the toothpick method of application of glue, but the amount left by a toothpick is about the amount you need, I know alot of ppl squirt the stuff straight out of the bottle, and I am guilty of this too, especially on a "speed build". But I am slowly trying to regain my patience and self control and use toothpicks as applicators....using just the bottle is a hard habit to break though.
Anyway, I realize I havent told you anything you probably didnt already know, but sometimes, we all need to be reminded of the basics....myself included.

Have a good day and remember, ya'll didnt win the war, we are just regrouping, lulling ya'll into a false sense of security lol,
