I painted some spare white metal bits up with a matt brown and then had a go at them with a normal propelling pencil and I was very impressed with the possibilities. I am going to get hold of a set of artists pencils and see just what I can achieve in the way of weathering and rust effects.

The best bit was it was so easy and controllable!
