| Regarding silver soldering boilers:
You suggested pickling prior to fluxing with a dilution of 30% sulphuric acid. Is this just 30% sulphuric acid to 70% water? When you buy the sulphuric acid is it already diluted to some extent? Also what dilution of pickle would you recommend for removing flux etc after boiler has been silver soldered?
When flanging the annealed copper boiler ends do you use an ordinary ball pein hammer, a block of softwood or rawhide hammer?
I'm thinking of working on a silver soldered copper boiler for a little mamodification.
