Hi Wonwinglo. Thank you for your comments. My interests do vary, had a big spell of Luftwaffe/Third Reich for years. I just fancied a break, all that dropping bombs on people can get to a girl after a while you know. After all we are meant to be delicate creatures...yer right! I then had a Zomblie phase, still love Resident Evil and the games, but again needed a break...so I went for the pretty option: air Hostesses and Airliners.
Oh yes...sheds, sheds and more sheds! We are waiting to pick up two more this year, one is for my airliners for sure, won't have room for a scale airport, just a hint I think. Besides mixing a Boeing Clipper with a 747 might be a tad strange even for my surreal life. Luckily we have a field for a garden, so we are okay for space.
No it wasn't me at the shows, not that I know of. I haven't been to Telford for years, it comes at a funny time for me now. Used to go years ago and def going to Cosford, April this year, though I'm always upset to see the spaces where the airliners used to be, I have very fond memories of being in the 27ft club, naughty I know but FUN!!!! Who knows what I'll see at Cosford to buy, the last time they held a model show I only had enough for a coffee, imagine how that felt.
Usually for shopping though it's Parabellum/Aviation Hobby Shop/Hannants/Evans' in Northampton/Shrewsbury and local..or of course the dreaded flea-bay
and online from other sources. Martlesham Models website is very useful for me too. Being where we are there isn't much in the way of after market stuff. Lucky we get to England once or twice a month.
In answer to your question Alan2525 I got a Corgi one off flea-bay! I'm not daft, might be ugly, but not daft, in my opinion it's better in some places than the Hobbycraft one and I didn't have to do anything to it as such, just put it with my others. I have a DC3 and Boeing Sausageplane the same.
