Howdy Mike,

well i know you have seen my premiere 1:48th T-45 and i have a testors version of the bae hawk also, but I much preffer the premiere model. I dont recall any filing or filling for that matter.
Now of course the premiere model is of a hawk and not really the T-45 goshawk so my markings arent "real". but the premiere does make a nice looking aircraft even with scrap decals:

All I can suggest is why not build both as T-45's I really think that after you build them you will be pleased with them no matter what company made them.

PS: I forgot you asked if there were any other kits out there, and yes, testors made one (mentioned above) however it was 1:72 scale I am not sure if testors did a 1:48th or not.
