| Alan,
Glad to be of help, but please bear in mind that every boat is built differently, and my suggestions have erred on the safe side. People can only give you guidance thru their own experiences and techniques.
The way to do it, as you are restarting again, is take it easy and make no large financial outlays until you start seeing the results of your experimentation. Only buy the basics you need to get yourself up and running. In fact if it was me, I would get the hull and superstructure to a waterproofed state, do your experimentation, then when it is all sorted, go back and finish off the build by buying all your fittings, you will then know, apart from maybe a bit of ballast shifting, you will have a good scale model.
Best of luck with your project.
