| Hi Ivanhoe and a warm welcome to the forum. Always interesting to have comments from someone in the business and thier views on the ay the modelling world has changed over the years. My only claim in that direction was working in a model shop for a Saturday job as a teenager but what a brilliant time I had of doing it. I used to look forward to going to work and the atmosphere around Christmas was something I will always remember.
The shop had pushbikes downstairs run by the "Old Man" and toys and models upstairs run by the son. I would work where I was needed and I loved either side of the business. Fantastic memories. Needless to say the last time I looked a couple of years ago the place had closed down.
